Topic is a picture of clouds

The last week came at last. I write the blog about clouds for ten weeks. Finally I introduce the pictures of clouds.

About Magritte and its empty. Many skies appear in Magritte's work. Isn't there any painter who adhered to empty this much, either? Many pictures of only a blue sky and clouds are also merely drawn. Magritte's work is told from surrealism and the unpredictability of an idea in many cases. While a blue sky symbolizes "everyday brightness", it also symbolizes "empty" "It is bright and empty" It is said that it was also Magritte's life.

Starley Knight is the work drawn on the year before Gogh passes away. The clouds which whirl, the star which twinkles, and the cedar which it stands and sways are in a picture. A thing like passion and conflict is felt into the intense touch. It is a very forcible work.

In Japanese modern pictures, sticking gold leaf and expressing clouds is often performed.

This is called "kinnun" gold clouds. A photograph is "rakuchurakugaizu" drawn so that it might look at the situation of the town in Kyoto from a high position. The whole town is covered with golden clouds. From between golden clouds, the castle in Kyoto, a temple, etc. can be seen and the situation of people's life is drawn.

The paper of Ruskin's clouds was quite famous also for Japan to the Meiji term. Some men of culture are touched off by it and are observing clouds. Especially Touson Shimazaki inquired to the maniac also in them. When starting for one's new assignment to the school of Shinshu, Shimazaki carried Ruskin's "modern painter theory" 5 volume, during Shinshu stay, observed clouds every day and was writing the diary.

Maxfield Parrish is an American national popular painter, and is illustrator. He is also one person who was subject to the influence of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. A work with this most famous probably. "Ecstasy"

Blue empty and clouds are the impressive works which have impact very much. The cobalt blue which Parrish uses is so famous that it is called "Parrish blue", and sees this language in various places.

On November 5, there is famous fresco painting of painter Giotto in the Francis cathedral in central Italy Assisi. It became clear that the evil spirit was secretly drawn on it. The evil spirit is drawn on the photograph central portion. An evil spirit means "raw and death".  And it is drawn into the clouds of the 20th scene of fresco painting. An art historian, Mr. Chiara Frugoni, discovered this.

Many clouds come out in Studio Ghibli of anime of Japan. "kurenaimobuta" "kazenotaninonausika" "totoro" "majonotakkyuubinn" etc. Characters often fly in the sky. The white clouds floating in a blue sky are very beautiful, and may be the features of the Studio Ghibli work.

Many people are drawing clouds by various methods.
It is not all the same. I would also like to draw clouds mainly.

Groundmother's house

 

Once upon a time, in the small house on the hill which looked down at the sea, poor grandmother lived alone.Grandmother had weak body and was bedridden for years.

"It became dark. Is it the evening?"
Grandmother watched the sea.
"That cloud ..."
On the horizon, a black small cloud floats.
"Grandfather talked about the cloud well"
Late grandfather was a sailor. And I went around the world on a big ship.Grandmother was startled.
"That cloud is a sign of the storms. A terrible storm causes a big wave soon. I must tell the person of the town early"

She thought that must tell people of the town early. But of the body because is bad, there is not power to go for to the town. The grandmother slipped down from the bed, and crawled and went to the window side.
"People of a town! A storm comes -- escape early!"

Grandmother shouted from the window. But nobody notices a grandmother's voice. Then, also while being, clouds are becoming large black. A large wave like a mountain will attack the people of a town soon.
" oh, I will do what -- ?" grandmother looked at her room."It is so, and let's set fire to a bed. If this house burns, people of the town will notice"
Grandmother fetched the fire of the stove and ranked the straw of the bed.
The straw flared up red in a moment.

"Burn! Blaze up greatly and call the people of a town!"

Grandmother crawled out somehow to the outside of the house. The fire of the bed was driven by the wind that became strong and burnt and moved to a roof into flames.

"It is a fire! The house on a hill is burning!" People of the town noticed a fire. "It is a fire!
It is a fire! " "I will go to help early!" "In that house, the sick grandmother is sleeping alone!"

All people of the town began to run towards a hill. "Grandmother! all right?"

When the people of the town came, the grandmother pointed at and said the sea.
"A large wave comes! escape!!" "! A large wave!? "
The sea top was deep-black, the fearful wind groaned, and a large wave like a mountain appeared.
"It is serious! Everybody is taken to this hill! "When the last one who lived in the town ran up until the middle of the hill, a black big wave attacked the town. The person of the town was looking at the situation, trembling.

"Grandmother helped us!"

 "Bake one's bed and house"
"Thank you. Thank you"
To the eyes of all, tears of joys shined. To the eyes of grandmother, the same tears shined.

Topic is The clouds of planets.

 

Do you know it? You know that there is a cloud on the earth well, but, in fact, there can be a cloud in the space! There is the cloud on other stars except the earth. I introduce the cloud of the space this time.

 

 

The cloud of the space is called cosmic cloud and nebula. Nebula is gas consisting of the gas between cosmic dust and the stars who had a unity gravitationally drifting in the outer space. The space is a vacuum. Something like cloud floats there. The cloud is crowd of the gas (most hydrogen). The gas of the cloud of a one-1,000,000,000th of the air of the earth the; is very thin with a one-1,000,000,000th again. However, when there is thickness as for dozens of light-year, it catches the light of the star and shines and cover the star in the background and I can watch it. The gas cloud becomes the materials of the star. The particularly deep place of the gas cloud is called a molecular cloud, and a star becomes the born place. I was surprised. The earth seemed to be made in this way, too!!

In addition, a star runs out of life when leading fuel empties. The surface gas of the star opens steadily and becomes the round nebula. The nebula glitters in various colors by the light of the small star who stayed in the center, but the nebula is scattered to the space before long and disappears. The nebula gives birth and the death of the star to us!!

I introduce the cloud of the star except the earth.

 

 

Mars

In the Martian atmosphere, very few steam is included. The steam pressure is only around a one-500th of the South Pole sky of the earth, but a cloud and frost are observed on Mars by these very few steam. The Martian cloud appears in the early morning and the evening and disappears in the daytime. NASA confirmed snow on Mars!

 

 

 

 

Jupiter

The Jupiter is always covered by a cloud, and the surface observed by visible light is the outer layer of the cloud not the ground. It is thought that this cloud was made with a crystal and an ammonia hydrosulfide of the ammonia. In addition, this cloud accumulates energy of the thunder. This electric discharge phenomenon is equivalent to 1,000 times of the lightning of the earth; is large!!!! The reason why a cloud is orange and brown. It is that the compound which welled up from the inside changes in quality by solar ultraviolet rays and changed a color.

 

 

 

The Saturn

The surface is the same as Jupiter, and most are made of hydrogen and helium. The atmospheric thickness of the Saturn is 1,000km, and the half is a layer of the thick atmosphere. Topic: After the cloudy, is weather Fine or Rain??

 

The weather is unstable. During the morning, although it was fine, it has rained from the afternoon. I don’t　have umbrella! Dress was dried in the yard! I have dried dress in the yard...Probably, you have such an experience. Even if you look at a weather report, the weather may differ only in the place in which you live.Such at the time, don't you hope to expect the weather?In fact, you can expect the weather of the day from the form of clouds. This time, I introduce such convenient clouds.

It is fine weather when the cirrus which carried out a form like a fishing line appears.
When this cirrus begins to spread suddenly in the fine empty, it is proof that the low pressure approached. Probably, you may conclude that the weather becomes a downward slope.



It appears in all over the sky, and may build an umbrella in the sun or the moon. If this cloud occurs, the weather will worsen gradually.



Empty is covered by the pattern of the shape of a scale of a fish. This cloud is in the state in the middle of cirrus and cirrostratus changing. If a low pressure approaches directly, since cirrostratus will come out from the place where rain is falling to the front of 5,600 km, it is said that it rains in 12 hours.



They are the clouds that the sheep has crowded round. A blue sky is visible from between each of the lump. When this cloud spreads in all over the sky, the weather worsens.












It is the clouds of the gray whole surface which spreads in layers, and covers the whole sky in many cases. Probably, you may think that it will begin to rain 90% first if this cloud comes out with the typical clouds which appear in a warm front.














The clouds of various size of gun metal gray have gathered. Even if it hardly rains even if this cloud comes out, and it comes down, it will become fine weather immediately in many cases.











They are the clouds which shower on rain and clouds.
It does not get down, while the form has clarified. However, if a form begins to be confused and the sun and the moon disappear completely, it will begin to rain. Moreover, when the flow of clouds becomes quick, it is front blur of rainstorm approach.













It appears well in the daytime where summer cleared up, and it will become a cumulonimbus cloud if this cloud progresses. While having taken the form where the eastern part of the clouds clarified, the worries about rain are not needed, but when this outline begins to fade, it is the front blur in which the weather gets worse.

The example which can predict other weathers

＊The next day when snow fell is fine weather.
＊A morning glow is rain.
＊The evening glow after rain is fine.
＊When the moon is covered with an umbrella, it is rain on the next day.
＊It is rain when a mountain appears close.
＊When a well withers suddenly, it is heavy rain in the near future.
＊Morning mist and evening glow are fine.
＊It is fine when a star looks  many.
＊It is fine when waterdrop is on grass.
＊It is fine after a rainbow comes out.  
＊If plants have got dry in the morning, it is rain during the morning of the next day.
＊It is rain when the rope stretched loosely stretches.

Topic is earthquake cloud.

Do you know the earthquake clouds?? Before an earthquake occurs, clouds become a strange form as an omen. From last year, I began to live in the Kanto district and experienced the earthquake repeatedly. But I had not checked the form of clouds once. This time, I think that I will introduce the mechanism of earthquake clouds, and kined of earthquake.

 

 

 

Mechanism of the earthquake cloud

At present, neither the elucidation nor the actual proof is carried out about the generating mechanism of earthquake clouds. However, some mechanisms are shown as a hypothesis. As for a typical hypothesis, the electromagnetic waves which occur from the focus circumference affect generation of clouds. Although it is assumption, the high voltage is built over the atmosphere according to the piezo-electric phenomenon of an underground base rock. And when electrified vapor moves in the direction of a wind in geomagnetism, it gathers in the direction which contracts vapor itself, and the power of the emission contraction by magnetism is added up and down. It makes vapor in a thin atmospheric shell the clouds of a unique form, and becomes earthquake clouds.

Important things are electromagnetic waves.... although it is too difficult for me to understand it well.

 

 

 

The kind of earthquake clouds

The form of earthquake clouds is various. The more the dreadfulness and the eeriness which are felt from earthquake clouds are strong,it is said that an earthquake becomes large. However, since it may mistake by the clouds and jet stream on the weather, cautions are required.

The feature and form of earthquake clouds are introduced based on the shape of nine kinds of earthquake cloud shapes.

I think Thunder is dreadful! But if you know this, you become less fearful. I investigated about thunder.

Range from which thunder falls
The width of a thundercloud is usually 10 km or less in radius. Electric discharge takes place in all the ranges of this thundercloud. Therefore, although thunder will fall to somewhere in this range, it cannot be predicted where it falls.

A safe place

Aren't you fearful, when you are outside and thunder begins to sound? There are safe places at such time.

① in the car

Since thunder is electricity, it chooses the substance in which it is easy to flow through electricity. If it falls to the thing made with metal, such as a car, a train, and Buss, it will be through to the metal and will escape on the ground through a tire etc. But you do not touch metal.

②near a high things 
Thunder has the character to fall at a high place. It is important to take refuge near the high things, such as a tree, a building, a telegraph pole. There is no high thing in the neighborhood, and when you are the highest, the possibility of a "direct stroke" becomes high. The range of a safe place is about 45 degrees from tops, such as a building. This is called "scope of protection." If a high thing is approached too much even if it is in scope of protection, the thunder which fell to the high thing may fly and move to man. This is called "side stroke."

 

③Under an electric wire

When there is no building which enters immediately close easily, the bottom of an electric wire is good. And please be 2 m or more away.

However, these places are outsides and it cannot be said that it is safe. 
Blaming in a safe building is the best.

＊High rubber boots are almost meaningless. Voltage of thunder is very high .So It becomes impossible to insulate by the thing called insulator in everyday life.

 

＊Dangerous also indoors
Lightning current may enter from the antenna and telephone line of television.
There is an example which died on the telephone.

 

＊Water is dangerous.

The electricity of thunder escapes on the ground by thunderbolt. It will become a high voltage, if a thunderbolt is close when the water pipe and the water pipe are made of metal. Therefore, probably, it will be better to be 1 m or more away from a thing connected to these.

 

＊Even if it does not rain, thunder falls.

If electricity accumulates in clouds, thunder will occur. The particles of the clouds which become the base of raindrops have a mechanism of generating electricity. So thunder may come down earlier than rain.
While playing tennis, the accident has actually happened. Although the sound of thunder could be heard in the distance and it was not raining, the racket flung up in order to serve was struck by lightning.

Why is thunder made?
Although it is clear that it can do in clouds, thunder has not occurred in every cloud. Thunder occurs or does not occur. The base of thunder is static electricity. If a thing rubs, static electricity may occur. When getting off a car on the day which winter dried, clothing and a chair rub, and just before touching a door, it may spark." clouds are the same as this. The particles of clouds rub and static electricity occurs. If it rubs violently, thunder will occur.

The size of raindrops is 0.2 mm. The particles of clouds are diameters and are about 1/100 of that.
And volume is about 1/1 million size. Although the fall is carried out with gravity, since it is small, a drag of air is strong considering the size, and falls very slowly at it. Since the sky is low-temperature, the particles of clouds may be waterdrop, but it may be ice.Since at least 0 ℃ or less does not freeze easily in the air for the surface tension of water, it becomes water drop. However, in the case of about -20 ℃ or less, it is ice generally. In the cumulonimbus of summer, even if there is 30 ℃ near surface of the earth, the sky is very low-temperature. The cumulonimbus top is also -50 ℃. The tops are icy particles although the bottom of clouds is water drop.

 

 

 



 

It is same that icy particles and frost of a freezer are made. And the water vapor of the air changes to a solid directly. Since gaseous vapor can be moved quite more quickly than the water drop of a liquid, vapor adheres to ice rapidly and icy particles can grow quickly. And it is going to become heavy and is going to fall.However, when surface of the earth can warm by solar radiation and there is a strong ascending current, it is raised and does not fall easily. While going up in clouds or having fallen, it becomes still larger and becomes large hail. Since the icy particles and hail from which a size is different differ also in in fall velocity, they repeat a collision mutually. "Rubbing" happens then and static electricity occurs. When it collides, an electron is made from one particle. At this time, small particles (cryohydrate) become positive charge, and big particles (hail) become a minus electric charge. Why do big particles become a minus electric charge? It is not solved. Since the big particles are heavier, it moves to the direction under clouds and small particles move to the direction on clouds by an ascending current. Therefore, in the direction under clouds, the electric charge of minus and the electric charges of plus in the direction on clouds gather. Moreover, positive charge is guided with the minus electric charge gathering in a cloud base on the ground. This is called "electrostatic induction."
